Committees

Agendas and study guides for all six committees are below. Read the guide before you pick a portfolio.

Pick a committee

UNHRC emblem
Committee 01

UNHRC

United Nations Human Rights Council
AgendaDevelopment for Whom: Forced Evictions, Migrant Labour and the Human Cost of Hosting a Global Sporting Event.

Every host promises legacy and regeneration. Underneath sits eviction without compensation, workers on confiscated passports, and a cleanup of the streets before the cameras arrive. Somebody is responsible and nobody will say who.

UNCSW emblem
Committee 02

UNCSW

UN Commission on the Status of Women
AgendaNo Employer, No Maternity Leave, No Hearing: Women in the Platform Economy and the Protections that were never extended to them.

App work was sold as flexibility and for women managing care it genuinely is. It also strips out almost every protection won in the last century, and the manager is now an algorithm you cannot argue with.

UNODC emblem
Committee 03

UNODC

UN Office on Drugs and Crime
AgendaBeyond the Control List: Developing Adaptive Frameworks to Counter Emerging Synthetic Drugs and Precursor Chemical Diversion.

You no longer need a field, a season or a farmer. Schedule a compound and the chemistry shifts by one molecule, and a legally distinct substance ships the following week, cheaper and stronger than the last.

Lok Sabha emblem
Committee 04

Lok Sabha

House of the People, Hindi or English
AgendaWhose Finger on the Delete Key: Online Speech, Takedown Powers and the Limits of Executive Discretion.

Every party wants this power in government and fears it in opposition, which is what makes the argument honest. Intermediary liability, transparency of orders, and whether a court or a ministry should decide.

AIPPM emblem
Committee 05

AIPPM

All India Political Parties Meet
AgendaWho Actually Runs a State: Governors, Elected Assemblies and the Powers that were never meant to be used.

A Governor holds a bill passed by an elected legislature. Does not sign, does not return, offers no reasons. Federalism at its sharpest, and it splits the room by geography rather than ideology.

International Press emblem
Committee 06

International Press

Photography and Journalism
TracksPhotography and Journalism. Full mandate released with the study guides.

The only committee that watches every other committee. Photographers hunt the frame that ends a delegate's day. Journalists write the piece read out in the speakers' list next morning. Everyone else debates. You decide what survives.

Applications for the Executive Board are open.

If you chair the way we have described on the commitment page, we want to hear from you.
